I know that the 9 Emperor Gods festival was celebrated way way back in October, but, I insisted on blogging it here because this year, CK and I had the chance to go over to Raja Uda, Butterworth to witness the grand celebration of the festival there at the Tow Boo Kong Chinese Temple. It was a night filled with lots of lights, people and teary eyes (because of the extensive smoke from the burning incense). We were there from 7pm till almost 10pm where the disciples did a fire-walking ceremony. Ck took plenty of photographs with his newly purchased Nikon D90, while, I tried my hand on iPhone camera; of course, CK's photographs were better and clearer, while mine were lower than acceptable.. hahaha..
Although, I have been staying in Penang for so many years, this was the first time I've heard of this temple and got the chance to share some beautiful photographs here. Thanks to CK.
