Merry Xmas & Happy New Year to all!

Yeah! It's almost Christmas again & although I'm not a Christian, I still love the way Christmas makes me feel. It's not about the gifts though, I'm not sure what you will call it. Could it be the Christmas spirit? Hmm..

Since I love Christmas so much, CK & I had designed a Christmas theme for my blog which I will publish it sometime later. However, below is a sneak preview of the theme, to give you a little bit of suspense. hehehe..

It was a weekend. I was watching TV at that moment. Suddenly, I heard the siren of a fire engine. I jumped out of my cozy recliner & rushed to the window nearby. I couldn't see the fire engines, but what I saw gave me a shock! There was smoke all over one of USM's hostel building at the University Place. Arrgh! The hostel was on FIRE! I panicked & looked around but to my amazement, I saw people walking leisurely up & down the hill in the hostel compound like there was nothing happening. I thought to myself, "hmm.. how come the people there are so relax? Why?". I can't see the fire engine, but I was assuming that it was hidden by other buildings in the area. And since no body seemed panicky, I guessed the situation must be under controlled.

What would you usually do on Sunday? Sleep? Go & hang out with friends? Watch TV? To me, Sunday is where I do my weekly chores like, washing the clothes, sweep & mop the floor, watch TV, yah.. sleep too & will go back to my parents' place, occasionally. But these were not the things that I did last Sunday! Instead of running my weekly routine, I was at somewhere more interesting.

During my trip down to KL with Conny and the rest (for tribal workshop), we stayed at a very beautiful place in Sentul which I must recommend to friends that are travelling in groups of at least 5-6 persons to KL. It is a serviced apartment owned by Peter and June at the Maple Condominium located in Sentul Park. Everything is just beautiful about this place. They have 3 swimming pools, maze & zen gardens, barbeque pit, gyms, function rooms, etc, etc. Who wouldn't want to stay in a place such as this?!

I was at Sharon Kihara's Tribal Fusion workshop on the 10th & 11th November, 2007. It was my first tribal workshop & also the most eye-opening one. I witnessed with my own eyes for the first time the famous "glute shimmy" which I have heard but not seen of from various Belly Dance forum topics. And the most exciting part was I get to learn exercises that will enable me to do this challenging shimmy!

[Warning! This may sound like work, but it is not. It is just my appreciation to the work done by some people.]

Wow, I can't believe I'll be attempting to write something about this but I feel I need to, after attending the 11th International Translation Conference in KL. Like most people, I do not really understand the work of a translator until recently. I've started to appreciate the work that they've done.

I have been searching for Minlon Crochet thread colour code 26 since May this year. I was doing a crochet project for my mom, as a gift. It is a poncho. As usual, I went with my mom to buy my favourite crochet thread of the brand Minlon in Kamdar, Bkt Jambul Penang. She chose the colour light brown which have the colour code 26 and I happily bought a pack which consists of 4 balls.
