Day 4
We were there early in the morning, hoping that dad's condition improved and we'll hear some good news from the surgeon. We were hopeful because, dad's fever was under controlled and his blood pressure was normal. A good sign. After waited for almost 2 hours, we finally got to meet the surgeon and indeed, it was all good news. Now, the risky surgery could be put on hold. And the nicest thing that we heard from the surgeon was, "it's looking good, you can be discharged. But let's monitor it for another day and you can go back tomorrow." You can't imagine the relieve on our faces! Dad was so happy and talked alot, unlike the last few days. I quickly sms my brother and told him the good news.
Day 5 - Discharged!
In the morning, three doctors came in to check on dad, the physician, the surgeon and the cardiologist. All 3 gave the green light to discharged!! Yippie!
. Dad was given lots of medicine, about 2 - 3 types from each doctor!! Medicine was better than the risky surgery!! I was so glad.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes. It was an emotional time for all of us and we've managed to pull through it with your unrelenting support.
I learned a lot through this experience.
- I learned that life is fragile, so treasure the people around you, spend time with them, hug them more often!
- I learned that I must go back home more often, take them to regular check ups and be more sensitive to their needs
- I learned that I'm not ready to let them leave
I LOVE YOU, MOM AND DAD!!
