9 Years!

1st May is our national public holiday and in many countries, as well. It's a day to celebrate the economic and social achievements of workers. But to me, it's not only a Labour day celebration, it is also a day that I celebrate the legal union of love between CK and me.

Our celebration was simple. We just love spending time together. Our day started early with me preparing myself for a belly dance portrait photo shoot with CK as my personal photographer. Although, faced with some technical problems during the 1 hour shooting, we were able to get some nice shots. Smile

Dad Hospital Log - Day 4 & 5

Day 4

We were there early in the morning, hoping that dad's condition improved and we'll hear some good news from the surgeon. We were hopeful because, dad's fever was under controlled and his blood pressure was normal. A good sign. After waited for almost 2 hours, we finally got to meet the surgeon and indeed, it was all good news. Now, the risky surgery could be put on hold. And the nicest thing that we heard from the surgeon was, "it's looking good, you can be discharged. But let's monitor it for another day and you can go back tomorrow." You can't imagine the relieve on our faces! Dad was so happy and talked alot, unlike the last few days. I quickly sms my brother and told him the good news.

Dad Hospital Log - Day 2 & 3

Day 2

After the long day yesterday and with dad safely recuperating at the hospital, we decided to get a good rest to replenish all the lack of sleep we had, and made it to the hospital only around noon. Dad looked alright but seemed to have some slight fever. Dad's doctor came around in the morning and told him that he had arranged for the surgeon to meet us today but never said what time. So, it was waiting time at the hospital but we couldn't stay long because I have classes to teach that day, so we left early, hoping to come back after my class at night to see him again.

Dad Hospital Log - Day 1

At this time of the day last week, I would have just got back from admitting my dad into the hospital, hoping that he will not feel so much pain on his diaphragm and would be able to take a good rest after he had been enduring the pain for 5 long days!!

Monday, 4th Dec, I was getting ready to bed, hoping to wake up early the next day for my morning gym workout and 3D Avatar show after that. CK and I had been wanting to watch the movie since December, but, we couldn't get any nice seating, so, we postponed until January. We purchased the tickets online and were eager to finally able to watch the show.

Baby Guppies

Around 12.30pm today, as I was checking out the 3 weeks-old baby guppy in its tank, I saw many more other wriggling baby guppies in the tank! At that point in time, mommy guppy was still giving birth and to our surprised, she did it in front of our eyes!! Hahahaha.. I've never thought that I would have the chance to witness that! It was such a wonderful moment for me and I felt like a kid, pointing out to CK, "Look! Look! A baby just came out of the mommy's tummy!!" Hahaha..

Bunnies in Memory

Today, a friend reminded me of the time when I received my first bunny gift from my dad. I was still in primary school. It was after school and I went to my grandpa's house near the school to have lunch and attended my tuition class at a nearby housing area. When I came back from my tuition, I found out that the neighbour behind grandpa's house reared some rabbits in the cage. I was so thrilled! Dad saw the excitement on my face, but did not say anything.

Yoga

I'm very sorry for neglecting my blog recently. I've been busy juggling between projects, belly dancing and now Yoga! Ya, Yoga is part of my weekly routine now. Thanks to my teacher Alice for making yoga something that I look forwarded to every week. I always feels refreshed and at peace every time after class. I enjoy the physical challenges from the difficult yoga poses and also the mental focus that comes along with the practice. This week, I did my first head stand!! With the support of the wall, of course. Hahaha.. I never thought I would be able to do it at such an early stage of my practice. But Alice always says that we only need to try to know, because she believes all of us can do it! We only need to be encouraged and build the confidence in us. Yes!! We can do it!

Anyone interested to join me for Yoga? Smile

A Second Chance

He started driving, as I continued to throw all my disappointment at living at him. We were driving up a cliff. While I was complaining, he said, "Ok, let's go". He stepped on the accelerator and then I realized that he was going to do it, shivers ran up my spine. "Oh no!". All I could do was grabbed onto my chair with all my strength. My mind went blank and I asked myself, "Gosh! What have I done? Is this what I really wanted?". I did not know how it would feel, is it painful, is it quick? Life flashed over my eyes. I could feel the car being pulled down by the gravity, we're in the air heading down. "This is it.." and I closed my eyes.

This was how it all began ...
