When I first heard of this song back in 2007, I knew that this is the song that I will one day perform with, and last year, I managed to realize it before I went away for my IUI treatment.
To be frank, I actually started this choreography since end of 2007, but I didn't get it complete until September 2008! Hahaha.. I took a very long time to finish a choreography eh? Actually, the real work only started after May 2008. Hehehe.
Choreographing does not come easy for me, the first time. I have to study a lot by looking at belly dance videos online (thanks to youtube.com!) and learning from belly dance masters like Nigma and Hadia! Since young, I have always been the dancer and not the choreographer, so, this is a big step for me and I'm happy that I did it. Ever since then, I have been choreographing regularly, yippie!
I will share more of my choreographies online when I have the chance to record them. But please, do not expect too much, ya. I am still a newbie here. BTW, anyone wants to buy me a video camcorder for my birthday? It's just around the corner! . Hahaha..
Alright, here's the video. Again, it's my first attempt, so... be kind to me..
By the way, the name of the song is Wardi la Habibi (A Rose for my Darling) by Emad Sayyah. I've shorten the song to 3 mins to keep it short and interesting. Too long, I'm afraid I will not be able hold the audience's attention and become a bore.. Hehehe..
