If you work on your mind with your mind, how can you avoid immense confusion?

Wednesday Belly Class

Last night, I took over a belly dance class from Beatrice at iFitness Centre. The class has started last week but Beatrice could not teach the class, because it was too rush for her, she asked whether I could help her with the class. I thought, why not? Since, I am free on Wednesday. It would be good for me too. I would need that regular exercise to stay in shape. Smile . After all that practices for the competition, I still need to shed those extra weight around the waist. hahaha..

I talked a lot in class today, because it was my first class with them. I explained what belly dance is, what is not, where it came from and what they would learn from the class. We then, did some warm-ups which consists of some simple exercise movements to warm up the whole body, the back, arms and some stretches. Because, this was the first time, I went through the warm-ups slowly, so that, everyone could follow.

Once, everybody was warmed enough. We went through our belly dance posture. How to check yourself and what is correct, what is not. Once, that done. It's time to dance. Smile

We started the first portion of my Beginner 1 choreography, in which I called it the grand entrance. I explained that first impression is as important in a dance, as in any other matters in life. You want to make your audience feels that you have all the elements of a dancer and you acknowledge that they are there and you are dancing for them. We did that with a dancer pose, as the music starts, we took a step, turn and another step, turn. Then, acknowledge the audience at the right by taking a bow. Then, acknowledge the audience on the left with another bow. Smile

Time flies so quickly and that was what we managed to do in this class. We ended it with a short cooldown and gave ourselves a clap. I really hope that they've enjoyed the class and would be wanting to learn more in the next.
